Server-sided redirects can be achieved by adding specific rules to the server configuration which matches requested URLs and maps them another URL.

Client-sided redirects can be achieved by either using a Meta-Refresh tag (<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;URL='http://example.com/'">) in the <head>-section of the page or through the use of Javascript.
