Why is my favicon not appearing in Google Search or Bing Search even after waiting for over 2 months and following the correct implementation? Additionally, the favicon is not visible in Google Console Search. Below is the code snippet and website URL for the site I've created.

There is an icon in the search result, but it's probably not the one you want. The path of your icon href="images/favicon.png" might not be optimal, Try it with a slash in front so it's clear what the URL is: href="/images/favicon.png". Also, I don't know if search engines accept a PNG since an icon normally is an ICO. See: Define a favicon to show in search results. Sep 17 at 12:09
  • In t1.gstatic.com/… I can see the favicon, but not in the real Google Search Engine. By the way I updated the code in the following way: <link rel="icon" href="favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon"/> <link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon"/> @KIKOSoftware
