I sold my company some 18 months ago. The new owner has renamed the company and is using a new domain for the websites. My new website is only a year old.
If I obtain this old domain from the new owner and redirect the links to my new site, will it receive any benefit from the indexed links?
The link to the potentially duplicate question has one answer that addresses different industries or expired domains. Neither of these applies in this case. Both domains are for software development. Had the new owner made his decision earlier, I would not have bought a new domain and used the old one instead.
