I know how to password protect all files in a specific folder, but I am planning on setting up a separate subdomain just for storing password protected files in the root directory. I would like all of the files to be password protected all with totally different usernames and passwords.
If anyone can explain what type of setup I need, in terms of where the .htaccess and .htpasswd files need to go, that would be great.
