When the EU court ruling concerning the "right to be forgotten" was put into effect in May 2014, we (a local German news portal) received one or two notifications from Google that they had removed one (or more) of our articles from their search results, because someone had filed a privacy complaint against us. Since early May 2021, we have been getting an average of one such notification per day, even up to three of them daily.

What's going on here? Has Google stopped checking complains before taking down the respective search result? Or has lesiglature become stricter?
