I've installed Wordpress on AWS EC2.

The site works fine on HTTP.

I've got a third party cert installed via Certificate Manager.

Current setup that doesn't work:

  • EC2 install. wp-config.php set to HTTPS
  • Classic Load Balancer set to Wordpress instance and the Bitnami-generated security group. scheme is 'internet facing'. Port config is set to 443 with installed cert forwarding to 80.
  • Security group set with inbound HTTP and HTTPS 0.0.0.0 and All traffic outbound.
  • DNS through Route 53 set with domain.com and www.domain.com both set with 'Alias: Yes' and the Alias target set to the load balancer. I've tested the *.domain.com to both the current IP and the load balancer with the same results.

Running an SSL checker on the HTTPS install (though ti doesn't work) shows the right cert and validates.

What am I missing?

  • Do you still need help with this? Have you figured out what was wrong? If so, please share the answer, or let me know if I can help :) – Georg Keferböck Jul 8 at 11:03
