Hi I use Optimizer theme (free v.) on Wordpress, and images that look like stock images suddenly appear in my library that I DID NOT UPLOAD. I wonder if it's someone on update of theme these come loaded as filler during an update?
It's creepy, does that me my site is infected via images? IT says uploaded by my user name a few days ago. Now I may have updated plugin's n theme a few days ago. But def. didn't upload these images. Any help?

From what you say, it sounds possible that these images may have come about via a plugin or theme update. However, it would seem impossible for anyone to answer this without more information / looking at your server? – MrWhite Feb 10 at 22:55
  • @Kala It sounds likely that the image is part of the plugin, however there's really no way for us to be able to know. You could just delete the image and try updating the plugin again to see if it reappears... In any case, this is probably best addressed by the author of the plugin, so would advise contacting them. – dan Feb 10 at 23:14
  • Most likely to be stock images uploaded when you updated your theme or plug ins. They are possibly used in the plug in / theme in a place that you haven't been using / enabled. They should be easily deleted. If you experience this once, its not big of an issue. Twice, you may want to become concerned. They often do this so when you get your first glimpse of the plug in or theme it has content. – Jason Is My Name Feb 11 at 16:15
