So, I made myself a single static webpage hosted on AWS to populate my own domain.

Since I don't have much to share with the internet, I decided to design the page as if it was my business card (link to my social profiles, mail, etc...). Obviously I would like that if you search for my name + surname on Google, my website would pop up.

First I optimized the site as much as I could and second I registered the website on Google Webmaster, verified it, tried to add meta information...

With all this I am still not able to have my website shown at least in the first result page.

My website is reported in every "Personal website" field on every social I have.

Is there something I'm missing or is it just the fact that I don't publish content?

Thanks in advance, have a nice day.

  • It may just take several months. You could also add content. You could add a bio and a picture pretty easily. A few links from social media are probably not sufficient either. You'll need to find some other sites to link to yours. Friends and family maybe? – Stephen Ostermiller May 3 '18 at 13:39
