Storing the content separately from the markup would allow you to look up just the content and encode it before it hits the browser. If you want something quick that doesn't require a database, you might try Kirby, which is a flat file CMS. | |

For example wikipedia uses streight german chars in its articles (except the url obv) instead of codes see de.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%96sterreich. Problem is I would have to do this for many hundred pages | |
