Jan 30, 2013 at 22:49 comment added user22911 Thanks, bybe !!! Tomorrow I shall stop studying XHTML and I shall start with HTML5 and proceed with frameworks. I shall let you know my progress. To bed now. In Central Europe it is almost midnight. Take care. Bruno
Jan 30, 2013 at 19:42 comment added Simon Hayter Good Job, Once you go Responsive and start using Frameworks you won't go back, its also worth mentioning that once you understand these frameworks, grids and media queries your know how to create your own frameworks - Though its not essential Bootstrap for example is used by Hundreds if not millions of websites so its pretty well tested and more tested that you can test your own framework so Stable and compatibility they are top notch. Also lol and finally next time someone tells you that HTML5 isnt very backwards compatible tell them twitter.com is HTML5 and used by 500 million people.
Jan 30, 2013 at 18:46 comment added user22911 Thanks, bybe. I see this <<magazine.joomla.org/issues/issue-aug-2012/item/…>> and I shall adapt it to Joomla 3. I appreciate. Bruno
Jan 30, 2013 at 18:36 comment added Simon Hayter The problem I have with people learning HTML4 and XHTML1 is that at some point your only going to have to learn HTML5.. So you might as well start of with HTML5. 90% of HTML5 still uses elements that are used in HTML4 so your kinda be learning both anyway. Theres no right or wrong answer to this but its what you think logically is worth while.

Jan 30, 2013 at 18:35 comment added Simon Hayter Hi, you want to use CSS3 with HTML5 at the same time while designing, the easiest way to learn is making static pages but its not essential you could just start making templates for Joomla or Wordpress. I believe that Joomla 3 uses the Bootstrap Framework so you could take a look at developing pages without the CMS and then incorporate those into actual templates with reading the Joomla Docs how-tos.
Jan 30, 2013 at 18:31 comment added user22911 No comments except that I find the gentleman who replied to me a really very kind and helpful person. Should I, then, start immediately with HTML5, disregarding HTML4 & XHTML 1 ? After that I shall need to to learn CSS3 and Javascript plus PHP and MySQL Will you confirm, sir?
