Jul 11, 2012 at 7:26 comment added MrWhite "blacklist an IP [mailserver] when a single domain is responsible" - but this does happen and is one of the problems of a shared server. However, the host (should) attempt to guard against this by limiting the number of emails that can be sent per domain (per hour) and stating in their T&Cs that sending spam email is not allowed.
Jul 4, 2012 at 14:30 comment added Oliver G It definitely makes you more vulnerable to individual targetting, but I'm still extremely doubtful it would affect your ranking in any way whatsoever. You could always get a secondary IP (most dedicated server providers give you up to 8 for free) if you were concerned.
