Is it okay to redirect all mobile users to a mobile coming soon page? Please don't. Smart phones already do an excellent job of supporting non-mobile web pages. Leave choice as most "mobile aware" designs actually do a far worse job of presenting your website than a properly designed computer browser user interface. Leave the decision up to the user as to whether they want a supposedly better "mobile" web version or your standard website. |

What's the maximum length of the meta kewords tag? Abused by Dumbhat SEO specialists, so any search engine worth its salt ignores the piece of spam. We actually had one SEO specialist call up last week all breathless because one of the major problems with our site was that we have no Meta Keyword tag. We repurposed the table entry as a search source internal to our CMS software search function. The moment any SEO specialist mentions keyword meta tags is the time to demand they never call back and hang up the phone. |

What's the maximum length of the meta kewords tag? Huge list which is no optimization. For SEO to work, the tag must be used and search engines pretty much dumped keywords meta because of Dumbhat SEO keyword stuffing. The beginning of the end back in time was when porn sites started using Oshkosh bgosh as a keyword. |

Google Analytics being used over this time could have provided it. If the owner was saving log files for this period of time, same thing. Fake Links Cause Crawl Error In Google Webmaster Tools Don't ever expose any log statistics publicly as you will then attract referrer spam. Spammers can automatically create links on your site with these type requests. Once your site publishes these log statistics links, you inadvertently and falsely acknowledge a relationship exists to garbage site and then your SEO ranking can go down the tubes. Some things can be done with .htaccess and/or mod_security to help knock some of the edge off these. If there's no search function, give a 403 access denied through these means. |
