Jul 16	comment	where should I use new → I see everywhere? Yes, there is not standard for marking external links. The diagonal arrows you showed seem to be copied off of wikipedia. Some other sites I've seen use a different colour (e.g. green internal, blue external.) On slashdot.org they simply name the site in (brackets) after the link. I had never seen the use of → before though it does have some advantages. → is a text character so one can type it easily where as your diagonal arrows are a small image that needs downloading.

This is at least in part, due to the need to pay for Windows licences which aren't applicable on Linux. Question - Why do you need both at the same provider. Why not just choose the best windows provider and the best linux provider?

Either my site is small enough that I can run through the checks one by one on the various sites or else my site is so large that the check everything tool gets bogged down and takes hours to run.

Your stance is that if there is no complaint made, then there is no issue. However, the correct moral stance would be to screen every photo before it is published. The receipt of a complaint is a sign that the system has failed. Your system makes it easy for you, and easy for the poster but extremely hard work for the copyright owner trying to protect his property.

Jul 3	comment	Can I do Google +1 for my own sites? You must be logged in to a google account of +1 doesn't work. It's a social network tool so it needs to know who your contacts and friends are. I could log into another google account but that has would have no contacts or friends attached to it so the +1 would be ineffective.
