One site being on a subdirectory of another. Does google count this against you? @w3d: Server is apache. But so far I have failed to arrange what I want :-( I think what I'm trying to achieve is quite an advanced feature. I want to block access to a directory in some circumstances but not others - are you sure it can be done? |

One site being on a subdirectory of another. Does google count this against you? There is a link from the popular site to the unpopular one on its subdirectory, but its done via <a href="www.just_the_site_with_no_subdirectory_mentioned.com">text</a>. |

Googlebot visit but no cache update - why? @John Conde: I don't get your logic - if it turned out I had some stupidity in my HTML that was causing the problem, then this question could prevent other people from making the same stupid error. There is nothing "local" about plain HTML. If the answers given turn out to have nothing to do with the quirks of my HTML, then how much harm is being done by including the site name? |
