comment Script + template to generate static web site?
Thanks for the info. That's what I had in mind. Ideally, users would just create raw HTML files (ie. only basic formatting allowed) using their favorite HTML WYSIWYG editor, and the CMS would take the BODY part and use a template to generate a final page.

comment Open-source, PHP, DB-free SCM for brochure site?
Actually, since contents won't change much, I guess there's an easier way to do it: Does someone know of a script that takes a template and simply turns basic HTML pages + JPG into complete static HTML, ready to be uploaded to any web site?

Thanks. Ideally, I'd rather a lighter tool than WordPress, but I'll see how the install goes.

comment Dead-simple PHP/MySQL blogging tool?
Thanks for the feedback. WordPress is very easy to install, but after two days, I still couldn't get the bbPress forum add-on to authenticate users with WordPress (ie. single sign-on), so had to move on.

Thanks for the tip on Blosxom. Unfortunately, it's deadware since 2005, and I'd rather use something that's still maintained, just in case.

I'd rather it be in PHP/MySQL since this is by far what most use. But if you know of a CMS that combines a blog + forum, I would certainly take a look.
