I am a developer currently living in The Netherlands. I mainly focus on building web application, and I like to be a part of every stage in the development. You can say I work from 'grain to bread', from the basic starting point, the grain, to the final product.
In terms of development these are brainstorming about the project, choosing the appropriate architecture and framework, developing the application, working on the design and layout, and finally launching the application and on working on the optimization.

Should I change from reset.css to normalize.css You are right that you have to look at what suites your project best, I was wondering if there were any major benefits of choosing one above the other. So far not. |

Should I change from reset.css to normalize.css Yes it is exactly as you say, they are quite same, only the normalize has a lot more hacks for html5, especially the version that html5bolerplate usses. That's why I am considering putting starting with normalize.css in my new projects, instead of the everything to zero approach. Just wondering is there are some special considerations people might suggest. |

Should I change from reset.css to normalize.css Oh no I will edit in the links. With reset I mean the style sheet from eric meyer, but with the normalize i an talking about the stylesheet that html5 boilerplate uses, the basic idea is found here: necolas.github.com/normalize.css |

How to go about unused CSS issues The tool I use is gtmetrix.com. It is an online test that does both Yslow and Page Speed. I do not know if they test the complete site. Yslow does not complain about unused CSS, it is Page Speed that does the complaining. It complains about H3 not being used for example, I do not use this on the frontpage, but I do in other pages. + Another thing is the section for printing in my CSS, that is not used anywhere on the normal website, do you have any recommendations for that. |

Is it needed to have your blog title and description in H1 and H2 Ok so it's an html5 change, that makes sense. Are these changes already picked up by the mayor search engines, or is it recommended to just stick with the old system. New one makes more sense tho, because your websites title and description are already in you html head, no need to have them again on your page. And esp not for h1, and h2, because people don't come to your website for the title, they come to read your articles. |
