Same content over multiple sites Will date be needed? I think Google will guess the date to be the date of it's indexing it automatically. Plenty of articles don't have dates in internet but still we can search those using filters.. |

Deleted duplicate pages will search engine ratings improve? Another thing i forgot to mention is that I'm not selling any of those products which I deleted also they were all crap and almost useless so my business does not suffer due to it but there seems to be good chance that the SEO rankings of my site may increase. |

Deleted duplicate pages will search engine ratings improve? Another important concern is that Adsense/Chikita or other advertising companies will reject my site with duplicate content. They wouldn't know if it is copyright or not. Also I don't want to agree that only pages get penalized. If pages in my site link to bad neighbourhood won't my full site be penalized? I think you want to say that PR's are for each page. I agree. But the main question will be then, if I accept your suggestions will be then how to copy product pages and still get accepted with the advertising network companies. |

Penalty issue for a duplicate page in site but original page doesn't exist anymore @JMC duplicated content within your site has no penalty but from other site, yes. In fact Yahoo has simply turned blind eye to my site even though it's the unique one in targeted category. Although Google is ranking it in the middle but some unimportant and unrelated pages are ranking abovemy site. |

Copied page but why it is ranking first in Google SERP? I've just now checked with a new browser after clearing it's settings and changed the IP address but still the same result. You can also check giving the title in google search: "How to Test Payment Gateway Functionality" . Also if you are correct wouldn't it require tremeduous resources to track and maintain such data? I don't think this is even done for Adsense ads( or may be done partially) |

Since it is a "copied" product page there will be definitely some penalty. I've removed other duplicate product pages with 410 status. But this page's original source is no more. Should I keep this then? |
