I love programming and software development, and enjoy the Linux stack - from Python and Java to rsync and awk.

My current position is CTO at Vioozer. We are developing an interesting location-based real-time search engine based on users answering from their mobile devices.

I live at Kibbutz Zikim, Israeland have B.Sc in Computer Science and humanities from the Hebrew university, Jerusalem.

comment A schema.org schema for a menu item in a restaurant
The examples in Offer - for example, an offer to sell tickets to an event, to rent the DVD of a movie, to stream a TV show over the internet, to repair a motorcycle, or to loan a book - does not seem like an exact fit to a physical meal. I might be wrong, though.

No necessarily. "yes" or "no" are pretty common answers, and "what's up" a common question - hence the unique id.

@dan Thanks for your comments. I have revised my question to make it less opinion-based - I am asking for the reasons for adding the web server between external calls and the application platform.

You're right, it has nothing to do with REST - it's about the technical name of the url rewriting component. Fixed my question accordinglt.

@LiamSorsby It's a part of the function - I am also mapping an external url to an internal one (e.g. /items to /get_items).
