The Enterprise Edition of the CMS is different than the community edition CMS. Which version are you using?

Nevermind about time frame, I see that you mentioned the past week it started. Make a custom analytics report using Source -> Avg time on site. See if the drop came from the major search engines.

comment Using scripts to visit site and leave immediately to lower Page Rank of competitors?
On a somewhat related note, from the 12th - 16th one of my busier sites noticed a drop of 1 minute avg time on site from all three major search engines. All other referral paths maintained normal avg time on site. Strange...When did you notice the drop off?

I would make sure there aren't any technical problems with your site before considering it an attack.

And their tech support is poor because you pay so little per year they generally can't afford quality technical support on the slim margin.

My experience with the majority of affordable hosts that rank highly in google serps is that they all work as intended, and you get what you pay for (not a place to host a critical web app). Occasionally your page will fail to load if it hasn't been cached in a while, but other than that they usually work.

comment Number of pages in Google web index falling?
@w3d - On this particular website just looking at the page is typically enough, but I also used Google's toolbar pr and the actual placement in the SERP /traffic as a rough indication. I wouldn't trust an automated algorithm claiming to know how to rate a page's quality unless it was created by google or bing.

comment If all content is on a single page and hidden/shown with JS would it make sense to use hashbangs?
You might be interested in this thread: webmasters.stackexchange.com/questions/15083/… . I was looking for a way to tell if the content was actually indexed after publishing, it might be useful to you. Read both answers.

The smartest thing you can do is create a solid backup plan. Most backup plans include a secured server of some sort unless the website doesn't change often. If the doesn't change often then you can keep the backup on a flash drive.
