Thank you! From what I learned from @danlefree's link to this SO posting it seems that you can only monitor responses. I want to monitor requests initiated by the browser. Is this monitorable, too?

@ThiefMaster That "almost" unfortunately does not include replacing the Windows-XP-style icons with more modern ones. So basically this was all I wanted to achieve and it was a real nightmare since there seems to be no logic in which folder which icons are stored. (This is the result BTW, which is still far from perfect, but good enough for our needs.)

I read this "possible duplicate" entry you refer to, before posting. To me, I cannot see this as an answer. The refered posting wants to move pages, I just want to delete them. No help then for me?

IMHO, BBCode is the most useless invention every, and was solely invented to create another own, "cool" language. If you want to provide no WYSIWYG editor, I recommend at least that you allow some other syntax like normal HTML or the syntax that Stack Overflow allows.

I do agree. If the submission form itself works technically (which is 1 in 10 times, to me), the approval rate is rather low for me, too. Maybe the things I try to submit are not valuable enough to the DMOZ editors?

Not to question your competence in any way. But ever since I read more in the context of the SEO business (I'm just a small C# developer trying learn more about SEO), I hear everyone telling you how this and that is. Virtually no one is able to proof it's statements. This is OK, since probably even Google employees could not tell you everything about how this or that influences a site's rank. I just whish that people add a "in my humble opinion" to these statements. Or am I wrong here?
