comment Free Email Hosting for TK domain
If you point your MX record at a given host, that host has to be running SMTP to accept mail, not (just) an IMAP/POP server. You might be able to re-word this to ask the general question: how do I receive mail on an openshift server? Also feel free to contact me directly (my contact info is in my profile).

comment SEO impact of adverts on a .org domain
The whole ".org is really for non-profit organi[z]ations" has never really been true or enforced. In contract the policies for .edu, .gov, .mil, .state.xx.us (where xx is US state abbreviation) are fairly well enforced.

comment What should be included in email abuse policy?
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery: copy the mail abuse policy of an existing large mail domain and tweak as necessary.

comment Incorrect backlinks listed in Google Webmaster Tools (Search Console) from my other website
Since you control abc.com too, you can ask google to reindex it, which might fix the backlinks issue.

comment Is it possible to point my domain to a DDNS?
Keep in mind that not all nameservers respect TTL records. Some will cache your IP for 6-24 hours regardless of the TTL. So, even if you update your IP promptly on "your" nameserver, there's no guarantee "the Internet" will see it immediately.

Did you mean this post for webapps.stackexchange.com?

comment Can I move a clients website from yahoo hosting to godaddy hosting without losing google page rankings?
I'm pretty sure google page rankings depend on the URL, not on the server where the URL is hosted, and I assume you'll be using the same URL?

comment Someone else set up a trial Google Apps account on my domain. How can I get Google to disable it?
There's nothing in any of the emails that says "if you didn't request this, click here?" Anyone can create an unverified Google Apps account for you... but Google won't make it "live" until you verify it (or, in this case, anti-verify it)

comment Prevent search bots from indexing server (sub)domain name
When you find your server's name does it say "A description for this result is not available because of this site's robots.txt – learn more."? I don't think you can make Google not index the domain name itself.

comment How to set up wildcard subdomain CNAME records for a multi-tenant app?
OK, that sounds like you have an HTTP redirect in place, which means it's not a DNS issue at all. If you're willing to share the name of the actual domain, I can give you more details. If not, you might try a tool like "curl" to see what's going on.

Use something like dns.squish.net to see how the root servers are delegating your domains.

You have <VirtualHost>(stuff)</VirtualHost> somewhere in your config file right?

Have you 1) allowed for DNS propagation, or 2) done a 'dig' directly from the root servers (or the defined nameservers) to confirm that it will eventually work across the Internet? Do you do your own DNS or use a third party to do so?

comment How is the number of unique user larger than users?
This doesn't help you, but google maps sometimes tells me it takes longer to reach a destination if there's no traffic than if there is traffic.

comment In my mobile application should I hard code the IP address or a domain name?
Hardcoding IP addresses is almost always a bad idea, especially since it's so easy to get DNS these days.

comment Find website reviews not on website?
Just to clarify, where exactly did you put the quotation marks, if you used quotation marks at all? Quoting the entire phrase won't work. Also, are you willing to share the actual website name or an example of another website that also does this?

comment Why are .io domain names so expensive?
As you probably know .IO originally belonged to the British Indian Ocean Territory, and thus ultimately to the United Kingdom. Whoever they chose to sell it to decides on the price. Maybe they feel the domain is worth more because it happens to match the name of one of Jupiter's moons?
