comment Personal site/blog, my desired .com/.net are taken
Have you considered buying the domain from the current owner? For example, the domain I wanted, <mylastname>.com was taken but after some investigation, it turns out it was abandoned by the owner - because they got married and changed their name. They were happy to sell it to me at the average normal domain name price.

There's no problem to solve here that involves code. I feel it belongs on webmasters.

comment How are spambots registering on my website?
It's invisionfree 1.3, so there are newer versions, I'll ask if we can upgrade to the latest. The anti-bot mechanisms at on the registration page. We get lots of spambots but no members get to post until their account has been 'approved' so in this way we don't actually get any spam from them.... What do you mean by circumventing the spam mechanisms completely? Can you tell me more about that?

I feel like I just watched a cow being processed in a meat plant. But highly informative.

I thought the 'Don't enter anything here' was a honeypot technique? (Even though technically the users can still see it?)
