comment How to handle URL parameter for mobile site
I forgot all about rel canonical... I still see a few "?mobile=mobile" links on Google, but I have canonical links in place, so it shouldn't be causing any duplication problems. Thanks a lot. The basic setup is responsive and uses the same URLs for both mobile and desktop, but the problem was switching between the two manually. The code for that isn't optimal, but if it won't cause any problems, it's not too high on my priority list to fix. It's a hobby site so I'm just glad it's not causing duplication issues.

I didn't write it myself, and I would rather fix it through GWT or robots.txt or the like than trying to figure out how it works exactly. I barely know php too.

comment How can I fix Google indexing URLs that are not part of my sitemap?
I've seen a few discussions about it and I think it hasn't worked (properly) for a while now. I've never used it myself though, so I can't say for sure.

The link:-syntax doesn't work anymore as far as I can see.

comment Is there a way to hide from Alexa?
Alexa ranks pages based on number of hits from people that have their toolbar installed. As far as I know, you can't block toolbars. The SO question you linked will only stop Alexa bots, but pretty sure those bots don't count as traffic. How exactly does your competitor know what you're doing through Alexa? Maybe the problem can be solved some other way?

comment Linking to my website from my clients sites
"It is bad in context of Goolge's fighting with spam through "Penguin". This "Penguin" punishs for "site-wide" links. My piece of advice for you is to use rel="nofollow". It will prevent you from any filter actions but leave your link available for users."

No it won't, since that URL 301 redirects to your site.

I thought about that too, but then the numbers of pageviews don't make sense. And also, it doesn't add up for the numbers above that line...

support.bigcommerce.com/questions/1630/… is an interesting read. It's a page specifically on how to optimize your store for SEO.

The 51-100 visits has 71 next to it, so (if I'm reading this right) it can only be 1 person visiting 71 times. There are 5 values under 71 so it can't be cumulative. Either way, it's a really confusing way to show these numbers.
