What do I need to know about selling a website? When you say "selling a website", what exactly are you including? Just the domain name? The content? The code that drives it? The server infrastructure? People you employ to run the site? Or perhaps you are selling them a license to use the code for the site, but move it to their domain? |

How to seamlessly transfer a domain (avoid downtime because the previous registrar's nameservers stopped serving DNS records) In order to avoid downtime, I very carefully set up a third party nameserver (not the new or the old provider), and then transferred the name service from the old provider to it. The old provider (Easynet) deleted the data from their nameservers immediately, even though I was still paying them for nameservice (at a ridiculous rate) and had not told them to take anything off their nameserver. We had a days downtime before the records propagated and the new nameservers took over. I was very annoyed at Easynet. Don't use them for name service. You cannot ever leave. |

does co.uk domains need a uk citizen? That information is definitely wrong. Even the video on that page contradicts that information. I certainly wouldn't use that company! |

Can anyone recommend a Google SERP tracker? I'm voting this question up - it should be reopened. It is exactly the kind of question that community wiki was invented for. |

Any good SEO tracking apps out there? For finding an SEO company to deal with, yes. For finding a software tool to help you do your own SEO, I don't think the creator of that tool will neccesarily have the skills / time to spend on making his tool well ranked, unless they are charging a lot of money for it. I.e. someone who writes good software is not neccesarily someone who gets high SEO rankings. |

Any good SEO tracking apps out there? It would be good if you split these into separate answers, with a little comment about each, then people who know them can vote for the ones that they like the best. |

Any good SEO tracking apps out there? It's community wiki because it's the sort of question where there isn't a single right answer. |
