comment Should an ID go at the beginning or end of the URL for SEO?
i doubt it. the title will come from markup inside the page. the url is just a url.

Glad you solved this. Rather than posting the answer in your question you could actually answer your own question by posting as an answer. Then you can mark it as correct.

It will penalize (or rather remove) those specific urls, it wont penalize the ranking of your site overall.

comment How can I monitor a website for malicious changes to the files
Same thing happened to me on GoDaddy several times. I don't use hosting services anymore. Too many clients on one machine means there's many users who are already through the first level of security (ie. logged in to your server). All strangers and you don't know who they share passwords with.

comment Is there a problem in having same product with different names in different pages?
You could also put the long text in a div of class 'long' and the short text in a div of class 'short' and css either one of them as hidden depending on context. SEO then, would have both versions of the name for both pages.

That link says its "recommended". It is certainly no violation to do otherwise.

comment Different websites on “example.com” and “www.example.com”
From your comments on the answers, it sounds to me like what you really want to do is to run virtual hosts on the same server. Its not necessary to run separate servers. Your A records (or CNAME records) might end up both pointing to the same machine.
