In my spare time when not working as a software developer, I contribute to a couple open source projects that I am quite proud of:

  • ELMAH (Error Logging Modules and Handlers) is an application-wide error logging facility that is completely pluggable.

  • URL Rewriter a .NET module which mimics the Apache mod_rewrite syntax for support in IIS and Casini

  • Fluent Cassandra a .NET client for accessing the NoSQL Apache Cassandra database.

Oh yeah and I also wrote a book:

comment How do I rename a domain and preserve PageRank?
@Michael In the generic term pages are still ranked against each other, but it is not based off a sole number any more. Google stays quite about this kind of stuff, but there has been hits out there en.wikipedia.org/wiki/… Google has been moving in to more real-time ranking based on how often content changes and bringing that relevant new content to the forefront. I think this is all inside baseball, but it is important to note that a single number doesn't drive the ranking of your site on Google anymore.

Should be noted that the PageRank algorithm is no longer in use by Google.

comment Recovering a lost website with no backup?
They seem to have what looks like 456 images that are full size. This might be the best bet for recovering everything. Maybe they can even provide you a dump.

I don't know if this is you. But Imageshack seems to have many of your blog images. profile.imageshack.us/user/codinghorror
