I'm from Auchterarder, Scotland and am currently working on an apprenticeship in structural engineering. However, as I handle the company IT infrastructure, website development and internal management software development, I've gained a considerable amount of experience in web development. More specifically, I have worked extensively in Javascript, PHP, ASP.NET C# and, obviously, HTML 5 and CSS 3. Finally, I've worked with both MySQL and SQL databases and have experience in database design.
Over the next few months I intend to expand my understanding of C# programming and use this as a precursor to C++ development - which would allow me to begin working on desktop applications as well as webstes and web applications.

difference in using third party social buttons and directly integrating each social buttons ourselves @JayapalChandran You just have to decide what's important. Bear in mind that one outbound link will not make much of a difference in your ranking. But if you have lots of outbound links then it will have a noticeable effect. It's not about avoiding outbound links altogether - you just need to be aware of how many you're using and consider whether the links benefit your users. |

Website signaled as containing malware @Bakaburg How you add run some-anti-virus software is entirely dependent on your hosting setup. If it's linux/windows, what access you have to the server, whether it's dedicated or shared hositng etc. The best place to start if you're still concerned about it is to speak to your hosting providers. However, the main concern is that someone has changed your website's code to make it malicious rather than infected the server itself - so I'd check the code first. |

Good Practice for Formatting SEO-Friendly URLs? @Slinky consistency is what matters. Multiple variations of the same URL are treated as individual pages - which splits your ranking. |

Google Blogger Website CName and/or Text File Issues Perhaps I've misunderstood your question, but you want to create a CName record. All you need to do is create a CName record with a host name / alias of 'blog' and a value of 'ghs.google.com'. I am going to sleep now, but I will respond to any other questions you have in the morning, so feel free to ask. |

Google Blogger Website CName and/or Text File Issues @FrankG. Yes & yes. However, for the domain name verification I would just use google's ftp verification - it's easier. You just upload a text file containing a verification code you get from google to your website's root directory. And I would just have the IT guy point the blog.domain.com CName record at ghs.google.com. It cuts out the extra DNS record, but I'd expect your way to work too - so it's up to you. |

Google Blogger Website CName and/or Text File Issues @FrankG. You could do it that way, yes. blog.mydomain.com would forward to your server which would forward to the google website. You could also just get the main DNS record to forward to google, it's up to you. |

Google Blogger Website CName and/or Text File Issues @FrancisGibbons I'm afraid that the change has to be made at the higher level DNS setting, so you need to get the domain IT manager to change the main DNS records. And I've modified my answer to answer your question about the DNS record required. |

difference in using third party social buttons and directly integrating each social buttons ourselves @Jayapal Chandran No. Search engines use the number of inbound and outbound links when ranking websites. If there are lots of outbound links then you go down in the rankings and if there are lots of inbound links then you go up in the rankings. You can google the effect of outbound links and you'll get lots of information on it. |
