Is there any system in place to recover a domain that expired and someone else has registered? letting it expire wouldn't be practical - since it expires in 2015. I very much doubt if he gets much of any traffic since it never got any traffic before we let it expire. i think he only took it because it was registered a long time, and I found out later that having an older domain name increases it's search value, or at least some people think it does. |

Should rel=canonical point to page one of a set and still have rel=prev/next on the page as well? We're thinking of removing the prev/next links and putting a canonical link to the first page of the results. We're considering adding a 'view all' page but some of the categories have 500+ items so i'm worried a view all page would take too long to load/be too large, since i thought google doesn't like pages over 150k in size? |

Should rel=canonical point to page one of a set and still have rel=prev/next on the page as well? what is CLE? The only duplication issues google is flagging is with the page title and description. It just seems kind of silly to require a unique title and description for pages in a series. I don't really see any value to adding 'page #' to the title and description just to make google happy. Would google actually penalize us in some way for having duplicate titles/description in the series? Oh and these aren't internet search results - they are from category pages, google should definitely be crawling them. |

Will we be penalized for having multiple external links to the same site? I don't think we're in violation of google's guidelines on this, since we're not trying to manipulate links. And having the links where we have them makes logical sense. Someone is selling an item and we're provide a link back to their site for the user to review their site/contact them etc. Any SEO bonus they get from the link is really incidental to the service we're selling. It's an added bonus, but not what we focus on. But still, it's a bonus we'd like to keep and be able to mention to potential new clients. |

Does google see the output of document.write? I just assumed the above might work since the function converting the span to an <a> tag would be in an external follow that google is being told not to index/crawl. Or would it still read the content of the JS file for purposes of rendering the pages and then just not include the contents in it's index? |

The only reason I hesitate to use nofollow is that one of our selling points is how having the link to their site on our site will help with their own search engine rankings. IF we put nofollow on all their links, we can't really honestly make that claim anymore. |

So would it make a difference if we set the link on the item listing to nofollow, and leave the link on their profile page as is (without nofollow)? Thanks |

Will we be penalized for having multiple external links to the same site? We're pretty confident our clients aren't going to be linking back to sites that can be trusted, at least as far as them not intentionally doing anything bad. Obviously we can't vouch for all of them never being hacked or whatnot. But these are all people who have paid us to list their item for sale, and these are items that cost between hundreds and thousands of dollars. So it's extremely unlikely anyone will put a link and try to do something (intentionally) shady. Is it still worth using nofollow? |
