Software Developer. Obsessive Compulsive code formatter. Tabs-over-spaces preferrer but that doesn’t always work out.

Server Administrator. Arch Linux user forever. Disliker of CentOS for no reason. (Who named the package manager “yum,” anyway!?)

Lover of Apple products. Former Windows user. Emphasis on former.

Hater of Adobe since before it was cool. Hater of Flash since forever. Hater of Windows Mobile since 2006.

Paleo eater. Crossfit & bodyweight worker-outer.

Skeptic. Extremely strong opinions, weakly held. Changed based on evidence, but nothing else. Open to the idea that I’m wrong; just be prepared to prove it. (I’m usually not wrong.)

US Marine (Reserve). Sergeant. Infantryman, Machine Gunner, Section Leader. Deployed to Ramadi, Iraq (2008).

comment Does Googlebot support TLS v1.2? If not, what will my TLS v1.2-only site look like to it?
I was unaware of 'Fetch' as I so very rarely enter GWT. I will investigate that method post-haste.

comment Is the title attribute (not tag) important to SEO?
That probably wouldn't be nearly as helpful as having useful content in every one of those elements. What it definitely would do is be extremely annoying, as no matter where your mouse goes the browser would generate giant tooltips. I recommend against that. Vehemently.

comment Should plus be encoded in mailto: hyperlinks?
Can you be more specific on the methods and results of your real-world tests? Do some email clients/services treat it properly and others choke? Can you be more specific?

comment Has anybody split tested one password field versus password & confirm on registrations?
Do you mean to test that a single password field does not lead to more "forgotten passwords" (the inference being that the increase in forgetfulness is actually indicative of passwords that were typed incorrectly and not caught by the second password field)?

comment siteground hosting forwarding
I have answered in the context of a server you control, so that would be SiteGround's dedicated hosting. I have hosted with Dreamhost in the past and even on their shared hosting I'm able to select the same root folder for multiple domains but I don't believe I can set up any redirects except for the global domain. I don't know if your hosting level at SiteGround will permit this or not.
