Thanks Paul. I think there was another answer here that was deleted--is that what you mean when referring to nginx? I wasn't sure what you meant by that. When I type in https://mydomain.com/wp-admin I am redirected to the subdomain the SSL is on (https://secure.mydomain.com).

No, this is for a site I was not the host for. It's the first host I ever had, shared hosting that constantly got hacked and was often down for months at a time. I've been continuing to pay $3/year for this hosting because I've been too lazy to clean the site up and migrate it to a new server with a new company. Now I'm doing it.
