comment Firefox accusing me of distributing malware on my site
@Andrew UPX is the packer most commonly used for packing malware, so if you also pack your downloads with UPX, you will set off alarms.

comment What is the best way to mirror customer's website on our domain from SEO point of view
Neither of these is a good idea, and will only make matters worse. Not only will you lose whatever ranking the sites already have, you will associate those sites with your domain, which will probably be perceived as fraudulent (unless you are also buying these hotels!)...

What is a "shared webhotel"?

comment Hosting on Azure VM - how to handle A records?
This doesn't appear to have any relevance to the question at all.

For more background on why no-www is a bad idea, you can see my web site yes-www.org :)

comment What preferred domain should I choose for WIX website (www vs no-www)?
You cannot use CNAME records for the naked domain, whether you use WIX or not. This is a design constraint of the DNS itself. This, combined with the need to do load balancing and failover, is why all domains on WIX must be redirected to www. (The IP for the naked domain is on Google Cloud Platform and Google manages its failover with route announcements. The servers which answer it only send the 301 redirect.) This is not unusual, either, nor is it the only reason why you might need to use www.

comment Why isn't the HTML break tag acceptable anymore for top and bottom margins?
@Mike If your daily AdSense income is measured in cents, you are engaged in what we call premature optimization. And even if it were dollars, I'd probably still think the same thing. Anyway, remember that your site's content should be semantically appropriate, because not everyone uses what you normally think of as a web browser. What you should be focusing on at this early stage of your site is high quality content.

comment Does URL encoding create duplicate content?
I had to downvote this because it's wrong (except for the "SEO expert" being a liar, that's probably right). Only unreserved characters can be decoded and be equivalent to their percent encoding, and the colon is not one of them. The colon is a special character and, unfortunately, due to a bizarre quirk of the specification, isn't always safe to use unencoded anyway.

That's just overkill. :)

comment What percentage of users use a cookie blocker?
I use an extension which doesn't block cookies, but converts all cookies to session cookies unless I've whitelisted the site. As soon as I close the tab, the cookies go away. And my whitelist is fairly short.

comment Get phone number of (via mobile networks) browsing mobile device
They assigned your phone its IP address, so they already know whose phone it is. Looking that up is a trivial SQL query.

comment Does using HEX entities (&#xHH) in href attribute impact SEO?
@StephenOstermiller And it's only necessary to do XSS-related escaping for URLs originating from user-generated content. Doing it for URLs in the navigation bar is pointless (but remember, the user's name is user-generated content).

The previous version of this answer turns out to have been wrong. I apologize for any confusion.

comment How does Microsoft determine that a site is a phishing website?
If that's the only way sites get listed, then we have malicious users. And no sign of verification of submissions on the part of Microsoft.

comment Does the 'blockquote' element harm or help SEO?
The blockquote and q (for inline quotes) elements' cite attributes were added in HTML 4.01 (1999). It has therefore been recognized and useful for well over a decade.

@w3d Good guess, but we don't use third party ad networks at all.
