comment Turning openbase_dir off using .htaccess
@sam - Additionally, it would not be in a host's best interest to allow people to override this, since it could be used to run PHP shells on their servers, and jeopardize the security of others' websites. As far as I know, I don't believe you can change/override this setting using .htaccess files. This would defeat the entire purpose of the setting.

comment I want to build a script CDN for my place of employment
If this can be done entirely over the local intranet, do it. I wouldn't involve any third party (Amazon) unless you are unable to set up something locally.

comment Website forwarding, keeping original URL
Correct, but I'm saying, WordPress (I think, because so does MyBB) issues a cookie from the domain it is installed on. Which, to fix, would require a lot of work. I do not believe they actually will be issued a cookie to the domain of ACCESS rather than the domain the site was configured for. In which case, one of the two would fail without modifications.

I meant, how would WordPress be able to use both cookie domaines? Doesn't it only work with one domain? (I know MyBB has this limitation). ikailo.com/218/cross-domain-cookie-sharing-wordpress seems like too much work. Or this: maisonbisson.com/post/14028/…
