Bingbot request for trafficbasedsspsitemap.xml which does not exist I'm getting this request about once a day per site it seems (with and without "www."), though sometimes twice to the same site within 30 minutes. |

how to handle foreign content on a blog (double content) Like I said, it's not an automatic penalty. The authors/sources if they feel they have been plagiarized they can submit the request to Google, they will check and penalize. If it's legit (like they asked the sources for permission, etc) then there is no problem. That's why in the legit sites they add links back to the author/original source. Not many people will complain if they get links back to them from legit sites. |

Worth changing the URL structure to incorporate keywords? like they say... 'correlation is not causation'. The URL structure has minimal weight and you'll get it as long as your main keyword is somewhere there (and usually you don't want more than 2-3 keywords there or you might actually get penalized for keyword stuffing). Content and incoming links are what you need to check. |

Will content from my site's RSS feed that is published on other sites be considered duplicate content by search engines? @NatRyall simple. If it gave a penalty, then a competitor could create 300 fake sites that copy your content to take you down the listings. |

Do navigation menu links negatively impact SEO for pages' content? Yes I had already read that post, but it's not really what I'm concerned about. That's about # of links in a page, but my concern is more of the effect of the menu links that are unrelated to the page and present in all the pages in the site. Even if it's only 50 links, it's still 50 links that don't depend on the page in question. |

Do navigation menu links negatively impact SEO for pages' content? I guess. Still not convinced but guess without an official post on this matter, I'll just follow the consensus |

Do navigation menu links negatively impact SEO for pages' content? I've been tempted, but guess there's no need. I'm still not convinced but guess if the consensus is that it's not a problem, then I'll go with the flow. |

Do navigation menu links negatively impact SEO for pages' content? thanks. But my concern is that, in every page in the site, the search engine will find a whole bunch of links with anchor text that don't have anything to do with the current page. You're in the page for 'shoes' and the first links in the site point to 'shirts', 'pants', 'skirts', 'coats', 'shoes'. Sort of suggesting that the page the engine just read has anything to do with those words, which is false. |
