    Meta tags aren't used for ranking purposes. And just having content and text doesn't automatically make you rank well. The content needs to be high quality, your markup needs to be semantic, your site needs to be accessible, etc. There's a lot of factors affecting a page's ranking and they seem to be doing it better then your website.
