Single Sign on across Websites Using sub-domains of the same root domain would make this easy, but alas my requirements include using completely separate domains. |

Single Sign on across Websites We can certainly share our db between sites, but my question is what is the proper way to do what google does when you log in to all their services. |

Single Sign on across Websites Your second drawback is exactly what I would like to avoid. I could see our users getting confused/annoyed at the extra step (even though it's only once). |

How can I fix an Apache redirect loop I haven't work with Wordpress enough to say how it handles the generation or why it generated what it did. My guess is that it has to do with the alias and what you told Wordpress it's path was. One option though is to change the permissions on the .htaccess file so that Wordpress wouldn't be allowed to change it automatically. |

.htaccess URL rewrite This looks right except I think it would be more appropriate to redirect to 1/$1.htm |

Modify .htaccess to allow existing files without extension to be served-s is for a file with size (ie. not empty) -f is for any file. See documentation. |
