comment Google reverse an analytic
If you have tried both the positive and the negative would they not effectively cancel each other out in the transaction total? Also, did you read from the link you supplied: "Reversing a transaction does not remove it. Both the original transaction and the reversal transaction are included in the transaction count."

comment Using scripts to visit site and leave immediately to lower Page Rank of competitors?
"Anyone versed in today's SEO knows that Google track's the "time on site" statistic and uses that to help determine their rankings in search." - I'm highly sceptical of this claim. Its the sort of thing which is highly suspect to gaming.

Thanks for pointing this out, use of subdomains hadn't even crossed my mind. I feel quite silly now :o)

comment What can cause RewriteRule to work only for certain pages?
I don't suppose by any chance this is a website powered by magento is it? I'm banging my head against a table with the very same problem!

comment How can I get an “Official site” banner/area on Bing?
The example @Magnus uses is not achieved via the adcenter. Another example: bing.com/search?q=ubuntu Look at the top result compared to: bing.com/search?q=financial+services

comment Google analytics is counting way to much
analytics.blogspot.com/2007/01/… either google is not picking up unique visitors correctly, or you are not collecting/querying your database correctly. Do you have any server logs to verify?

comment Google analytics is counting way to much
I've updated my answer to include google's definition of a visit - it makes for easier reading than it being nested in the comments. I think your definition of a "visit" is different to that of googles.

comment SEO - why did my google search rank drop?
Any chance we can get the actual answer inserted in the answer column instead of nested away in the comments which are fairly easy to miss?

comment Will my new HTML5 website decrease my Google ranking?
I honestly didn't know that, thanks for sharing. Do people actually use or look at websiteoutlook.com? I always thought google was king so that gets 90% of my attention, anything else is an afterthough.

+1 for don't return the favour. Could possibly cause more hassle than its worth.

It may sound like a stupid questions, but do you link to your twitter/facebook pages from your website? You might find a couple of simple links might be enough to pass on enough pagerank to outrank the problem blog.

comment Google search preview shows content not on the website
Is it possible your webhost was hacked (which caused the dodgy code to appear on your website) and restored a backup (which removed it) without telling you?

comment Miscellaneous ways to get higher pagerank
Correct. However it doesn't necessarily make it worthless - if you write a well informed post/response it can be a useful way of attracting traffic to your site.

Is it a special offer which only applies if a customer doesn't buy something? Like some sort of online haggling? Interesting idea.

comment Is there a problem if I don't setup google analytics in my website?
It doesn't clearly explain it at all, or at least to me it doesn't. Surely google will already collect SEO and loading times when it crawls your site? It doesn't need analytics to gather this information. But I do agree with your statement that "But then you use that to your advantage to tweak those pages accordingly so they go up."

comment Does the order of keywords matter in a page title?
@Chris Adragna - it was most likely a featured question, hit the "stack exchange" drop down at the top left of the page.
