I'm an Italian web and app developer who have a bachelor degree in Computer Science and more than 5 years' experience programming for the web using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and PHP. I mainly use the LAMP stack and frameworks like jQuery, jQuery Mobile, and Cordova (PhoneGap). My interests also include web security, web accessibility, SEO and WordPress.

Currently I'm self-employed working with the cited technologies. I'm also a regular blogger for several networks (SitePoint, Tuts+, FlippinAwesome) where I write articles about the topics I usually work with and more. I'm also the author of the books jQuery in Action, third edition and Instant jQuery Selectors.

comment How do I adjust our “default” domain
Also if you're on the same server and the same ip, the Permanent Redirect is used to tell the S.E. to move from existingfoo.com to newbar.com Besides, serve the SAME content with two different domain is a very bad SEO practice (duplicate content issue).

comment SEO- IP-based Language Change
@AbdulMajeed So do you think it's a good method? You're totally wrong. What if the user use a proxy? Or, as I said, he is in a different nation from his native nation? Definitely this is not a 100% method.

@AbdulMajeed It's the same thing. How do you detect the language? Or you're basing on IP, or the locale language set by user or whatever, this is not a 100% method.

comment What is the list of requirements to build a webserver at home?
@xyious Obviously it does not replace the need for backups BUT it is easy to do, infact you can also use a software and it is surely better than have no mirror data at all.

comment how to select categories for user generated content site?
Well, so you need a categorization system. That is not so easy to do. You need to extract some features from your data manually categorize them. After you can run a tool that will tell you in which category the post should be. This kind of system are statistical ones and so are not perfect. You can take a look to weka en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weka_(machine_learning)

@Matteo If you want to do a professional webserver with a serious service on it you MUST have a serious way to backup data (mirror RAID).

comment Site.xml with #!, still ok to have bare URL as home page?
My suggest is to wait to jump to conclusions. 2 days is not always enough to let Google index again your website.
