Recommended way on implementing 301 redirects @Codecraft could you elaborate some more on this part of your comment: "If you have a redirect but you're still serving 200, the page will never get de-indexed. Obvious, but i've seen it happen (and done it myself)" ?. I thought that modifying the config file will prevent the page ever being served by Apache - am I missing something? |

Recommended way on implementing 301 redirects Thanks for the response. I probably didn't make this clear in my question. I was looking for a more technical explanation as to what needs to happen (e.g. enter a line in a particular Apache configuration file etc.) |

Does naming my website like this cause a copyright infrigment? I understand what you are saying - and in fact did think about that "angle of attack" - however thankfully, the term was not coined by the 500lb gorilla (i.e. the "500lb gorrilla" was NOT the originator of that term). As a matter of fact one could argue that the gorilla was piggybacking on the popularity of the term when they established the site www.greatscott.com |

Google adsense - providing access (via an additional account?) to a third party I am already, only using Google as a backup for serving ads. I am using another publishing network. |
