In your question you're using two different websites. One is the russian google (google.ru) and the other is google.com which is not country specific. The results will differ between the two as the factors used when ranking pages varies between the two sites. When I used google.com and searched for keycaptcha I got expected results. For some reason Google either finds keycaptcha to have different relevancy in Russia (maybe they don't allow their service to be used there) or this is a normal temporary fluctuation in results.

When you do a past 24-hours search on Google.com, it automatically suggests "reCAPTCHA" (probably because of their phonetic and spelling similarities and reCAPTCHA being far more popular a search term). However, it tells you this at the top of the page and if you click Search for "keycaptcha" instead, it gives you the right results. – Lèse majesté Jan 26 '11 at 23:45
@Lèse majesté, in my searches (by "Last xxx") it is not suggesting anything, it shows results on reCAPTCHA only straight – Геннадий-Ванин Jan 28 '11 at 15:23

I just Googled keycaptcha without quotes and received nothing for recaptcha. I also check the results for keycaptcha in the past 24 hours and again did not get anything for recaptcha.

There are 3 things you should check.

  1. Like John Conde said, using www.google.ru and www.google.com will probably yield different results.
  2. Are you logged into Google? This can change your results.
  3. When you search for keycaptcha Google asks if you really mean repatcha. If you click on that it will show recaptcha results instead. Perhaps its automatically switching to that? You can check by seeing what is in your search bar after you clicked the search button.

thanks for your time. I am intrigued. So, you do not see the results only on reCAPTCHA searching for keyword KeyCAPTCHA for "Past 24 hours", "Past week", etc??? At all???? I shall write now to my friemds in Australia to check it – Геннадий-Ванин Jan 28 '11 at 4:33

I'd assume that this is done because nothing of real significance, in the last 24 hours, has been put on the internet regarding keycaptcha.

Regardless of the reason for the google results, you are fully able to get around this by searching for keycaptcha -recaptcha or "keycaptcha" -recaptcha
