We have a site with two subdomains I'm trying to analyze:
www is the primary site, and
my.ourdomain.com is where customers manage their profile and make financial transactions.
Problem: In-Page Analytics for
www.ourdomain.com shows all links to
my.ourdomain.com receiving 0 clicks.
For months, each subdomain was on its own profile. All the stats appeared to be tracked normally in GA, except for the cross-subdomain traffic issue. Recently, we tried combining them into the same profile to see if that would show traffic flow properly.
I read this (https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/gajs/gaTrackingSite) and followed the setup described under Tracking Across a Domain and Its Subdomains.
my. subdomain tracking code is now like this:
var _gaq = _gaq || ; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-12345-1']); _gaq.push(['_setDomainName', 'ourdomain.com']); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']);
Yesterday I opened Real-Time Analytics for
www, opened a separate browser and clicked links from
my. My visits showed properly in Real-Time for
www, so I know GA is tracking the clicks somewhere.
Today, I went back to In-Page view on
www, limiting only to the last 2 days, expecting to see my 10 or so clicks on the
my.ourdomain.com links. Nothing.
I don't have any filters set up, no experiments or campaigns.
Can anyone tell me why no clicks on links to
my.ourdomain.com show in In-Page Analytics for
