Webmasters Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for pro webmasters. It's 100% free, no registration required.

As far as I can see EURid the European domain registry sets the registrar automatically (or by policy) as tech-c. There’s no admin-c where the administrator of the domain can record ones contact information.

Why is this so and how is the administrator supposed to be contacted?

We resell domains via eNom to our customers. The customer is written into the owner records, and eNom defaults (by EURid policy) to the tech-c fields. Do we as factual administrators of the domain and of the nameservers have to rely on owner and/or eNom to get relevant email concerning the domain forwarded to our administrative email address?
