I've got an Adwords campaign running that directs people to my Google Sites page.

Unfortunately, when I paste the Adwords conversion tracking code into a Google Sites page, I get the error:

WARNING: Your HTML contains some tags that are not permitted. These have been removed from your changes.

This appears to throw out all the SCRIPT content, but leaves behind the tracking IMG from inside the original NOSCRIPT block, but still the tracking status shows Unverified.

I've spoken to customers who clicked on the ad, hit the home page, then proceeded to the Contact Me page that should be running the conversion code. And of course I already have a (working) Goal in Analytics for visits to this page, but that doesn't really help me when I'm trying to tune ads in the Adwords tools.
