I am developing a website that basically offers online services, so it is no blog-style website.

It is the kind of service that people usually pay a small fee to use, but not a big deal for a single person; To give an idea it could be like stackexchange websites but with paid subscription. (it has nothing to do with it; it's just to render the idea: it's mostly a user-generated content paid website).

Now suppose I would like to start earning from the website but still keeping the service free, would advertising be a reasonable thing to have? I am ranging at around 10-15k visits per day and would like to start earning a bit, at least to cover server expenses.

Is there anyone who found himself in a similar situation? Any help is appreciated.
