Is there a script not a program that I can use for my file sharing site that scan files that are being uploaded for viruses and if it finds anything it will refuse the upload?

Yes you can use sucuri.net to scan for malware on your web server, but for uploaded files you would have to run a regular virus scanner. You can almost always schedule them to scan folders on a regular basis. There are a few for linux tuxradar.com/content/get-best-virus-scanner-linux and then you can setup a cron file to run each second or minute to scan the folder for new files to check for viruses. – Anagio Dec 19 '12 at 3:48
