I am developing a javascript library with various functions and am providing it in repositories, but I do not know how to provide the license.

Should I just put the file LICENSE in the same folder as the javascript JS file and comment on the type of license used?

example:

* lib.js
* license

lib.js:

/ *
* License "license name used"
* /
