Webmasters Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for pro webmasters. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have included a facebook like button in the footer of my site. I used the button code and the open graph tags from the facebook developers page. When clicked, a pop-up window appears prompting sign-in. Once signed in, there is a fly-out at the footer (but outside of it- the footer does not expand) for the "liker" to write their comments to be posted. The problem is that the fly-out is cut off on one side and the bottom, so when writing the "liker" can't see what they are writing or click the send button. I have made the overflow visible in the CSS file (hence the flyout expanding beyond the footer). Does anyone have a solution to either make the site page expand, or to make the footer expand to fit the comment box rather than fly out? Also, I am using wordpress.

Thanks

I don't understand why this question has been closed as off topic. I am a novice web designer/developer and have been trying to solve this problem for days, searching for an answer and trying different things to come up with a solution. I have decided that this issue must be fixable, and hoped someone might have another solution for me to try. In my search for a solution, I have found others have had similar issues, but not quite the same one. One possible solution was changing the overflow to visible in the stylesheet. This allowed the flyout to expand outside of the footer div. – Christine Aug 25 '12 at 4:16
