I have recently bought a Samsung Smart Hub TV and I'm pretty disappointed by the lack of media formats it supports via streaming. The browser should be HTML5 ready, so I wanted to ask if it's possible to set up a local page for me to stream via HTML5/javascript.

What exactly is it you're trying to do? Do you essentially want to set up your own streaming server? Smart Hub supports a pretty wide range of formats, even ones such as MKV. Which formats are you having trouble with specifically? – Oliver G Jul 4 '12 at 11:29
