Have anyone tried to do a PPC campaign on services like,

  1. Web Design
  2. Web Development
  3. Graphic Design
  4. Logo Design
  5. Programming

as an individual and not a company?

I've seen companies advertise web services, one popular i've seen is PSD2HTML. But I was if it is also applicable to individuals trying to market it self. If its applicable to, can you give some example how it is being maximize.

Thank You!

edit:

I'd like to know if PPC campaign is effective on services mentioned above as an individual and not a company.

Can you make your question a little bit more specific? Your main question is more a discussion opener, not a real question that can be answered "correct". – Michael Jun 15 '12 at 8:43
Hi Michael, Thank you for letting me know. I hope my edit is a little more specific, if it is still not do let me know. Basically, I just wanted to validate on other PPC specialist if they think it's effective promoting Web Design & Development. – Pennf0lio Jun 15 '12 at 8:57
There's only one way to find out - grab a £50/$50 Adwords voucher and see how much each converted lead costs you, then see if it's sustainable. – Anonymous Jun 15 '12 at 10:15

I dont think this can be awnsered, becuase the real question is how effective is my site at converting people that land on my site..

if you want to know if ppc is effective at getting traffic for those keywords the awnser is yes, but after that its up your site to convert them to sales..

Have your portfolio, price list, about / ethos and a clients list on your site all of this will give a potential customer some idea about who you are what you do and how you do it.

Some people will prefer working with an individual as they end up speaking to the decision maker and not a just a salesman.. plus there is the added benefit of potenially being cheaper than a company as you dont have to pay all their overheads, offices, wages ect so in some ways your putting yourself at an advantage, then again you need to prove that your trustable and wont abandon the project half way through / be a pain to work with.. the best way to do this is to have a portfolio of past work and if a client asks give them references to speak to.
