I have a pretty nice site, but don't know much about webmaster issues. How do I create a sitemap and submit it to Google? What other very basic things should I be doing with my webmaster tools to increase my traffic?

You just need to enter your website and email address, and be sure that a robots.txt file does not block all of your pages. |

it looks like your running your site on wordpress, if so the easiest way to do it is in your wordpress dashboard search for an 'xml sitemap' plugin install it and run it. Thats the first part you then need to tell google about it in your webmaster tools account go to google.com/webmaster and it should guide you through verifiing your site (again can be done using a wordpress plugin) once thats done in webmaster tools go to optimise > sitemap and tell google the location of your sitemap usualy it would be at dailymusicbreak.com/sitemap.xml (but double check) |
