I am a rookie wordpress blogger and i have one question. I would like to know how much is the price range of a customized wordpress theme? The theme is a minimal theme only with white background and shades of blue for the other colors. I inquired in a website that offers a customization service and they said that they charge $1,400 to $2,500 for a customized wordpress theme. That's a little bit too pricey? right?

I would also want to ask if you happen to know a website that offers service to design a wordpress website. If you can refer it to me. I have already the 'prototype' of the design, they just need to improve it with their professional touch with regards to the design and the codes inside (i tried to experiment with the html, css and php with my beginners skills). Unfortunately, the 'prototype' didn't passed the The W3C Markup Validation Service since i only made it. It has also lots of bugs and inconsistencies due to cross browsers limitations

Please post some reliable, credible and (the most important) affordable website designers links. btw, I'm also afraid of scammers who runs after they got my first payment and never finish their work (a collegue of mine was a victim of it).

Basically a prepack theme from the likes of themeforest.com or mojo-themes.com comes in the $35 - $50 range, many of these themes are solid, attractive, technically complex and come with good support from the authors. They are easy to configure visually and technically. Exclusive rights to one of these themes go for $1500 - $2000.

For totally custom work you're in the right ball park, $2000 - $3000, services like ODesk, can help you find reliable devs to do the work, but you'll probably need to have a finished design done separately before work commences. You could also approach theme authors through the market places mentioned above about custom work - it won't be cheap though.

For the requirements you describe a theme like this should more than cover your needs.
